A few months ago I was chatting to a friend (let’s call him Stu) who had just founded an AI company.

Stu had started to post on LinkedIn but was bloody frustrated. His product was amazing but he couldn’t convince people why they should use it. Investors looked the other way, potential customers scrolled past, and even his friends gave him blank looks.

I checked out his LinkedIn and the answer was as clear as a diamond.

The writing was shitty.

Every third word was jargon, the long sentences, I couldn’t make sense of it.

I’ve written a lot for founders so I offered to help Stu. We ordered a pizza and spent the next 2 hours rewriting a few posts.

We posted them, went for a run and then popped back home to re read them.

The change was dramatic.

Now people were commenting on his posts. He was getting insanely useful questions and feedback about his product and most importantly of all, people started reaching out to him to invest!

The process I walked Stu through was simple. It was just 5 simple lessons that you can learn in less time than it takes to drink a coffee.

So I wanted to share it. Hope it’s helpful 🙂
